We are just back from the tradeshows , and trying to pick up where we left off.

We haven't been posting much here lately but we will try to make up for it.

Both of us have been busy as hell, trying to make the deadlines on our dayjobs and in the evening , weekends andall spare time keeping our Eat Dust production ,deliveries , shipments , mails under controle, visiting clients and tradefairs and trying to create some new items .

Last week we left for Berlin on Wednesday to show our collection at the Capsule Show, as always Berlin was a Blast, thanks to all that stopped by our booth , thanks to the Burg & Schild crew , you always make us feel at home.

And to Nina & Steven for the support you have shown us.

On Friday Rob & I drove down to Dusseldorf to visit our friend Hagen who had just opened his new shop in the city center.

The shop is located in an old gas station and looks FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!!!!

If you are near you have to go and pay this shop a visit.

Another nice thing about the shop is , that Hagen has his workshop in the back of the store.

For a lot of us this is heaven .

There will be an opening party in January but more info on that later on.

Here are some pictures of the store.

After that we went into town to a local watering hole where they still serve beer from Kegs.

We had a few and where on our way back home with a little stop at the Iron Pit in Helmond where Ronny had taken apart Rob's engine.

A nice surprise was that the engine is filled with race goodies , we knew that the engine was a fast one. But once the overhaul is done it will HAUL ASS!!!!

This will be Bottrop dragrace material.

Last week Rob and I drove up to Paris to visit the Denim PV fair , we don't have any pic's from on the fair , all I can say is that we found a new fabric and it's killer.

That's all we will say on it for the moment.

After that we went into town to visit Rockers Speedshop and on the way there we stopped at Ken Claude.

This shop has been around for a while to say the least, it's filled to the celling with shit.

On our way from Ken Claude to the Rockers Speedshop we passed by an art gallery and I noticed that they had some sculptures of AJ Fosik in the window but at that point it was closed.

On our way back the gallery was open and it was the opening evening of the exposition.

For those of you who don't know who AJ Fosik is he is also the one that did the new album cover for Mastodon(that should ring a bell with some of you)

Would have loved to buy a sculpture but unfortunately no money.

Both of us have been complaining for years that Antwerp didn't have a real denim shop like you can find in so many other places.

Now the complaining is is over, Okiya is what we have been waiting for.

We met up with the owners this week to show them our collection and we can only hope that they will carry our products.

Would be nice to have a shop representing Eat Dust in our hometown.

The shop is located in the North part of Antwerp, it's not on your typical route of shopping but this one is worth will making a little detour.

We got in contact with Mario of Mb Leathers a while ago when he ordered a pant of us.

He send us a link to his website and we checked out his work , a few months later we met up at the Brooklyn invitational and Mario told us he was going to make us a belt.

And so he did , and man this is more than a belt.

This is craftmanship of the highest level!!!!

Mario doesn't do half assed work.

So we started talking of maybe producing these belts , and as of today we are very proud to be able to offer these in our webstore.

Here's the drill:

When you order one of these belts we are going to send you a mail, with an explanation on what measurements we need from you and an expected delivery date: yes you heard it right these are Bespoke belts made to measure for each customer.
Notice: This is only a belt. There is no buckle attached, the belt will have a snapbutton system so you can att you favorit buckle to it.

Here are the fact's:

Belt is 2 x 3,5 mm veg tan cow hide from the back, not the neck (everybody uses neck cause its cheaper, i only use back cause it has no wrinkles)

hand cut to 4 cm wide.

letters are stamped with alphabet stamps to the leather , then partly cut out by hand with a scalpel .

all glued together (difficult, not to get the glue to the denim, where it should not be)

then dryed, and sealed with satin sheen. not applied to the denim.

then sewn up by hand.

As these are all made by hand it can take up to 3 weeks to get them done , so you will need to be patient: but it's well worth the wait!!!!!

We just got back from our producer with 50 boxes filled with denim.

1 Van and 1 jeep filled up to the roof.

Dear Eat Dust,

I bought a pair of fit 73 a couple of months ago, and I love them! perfect fit and such nice detailing!
Classic stuff. Although not being a rider of motorcycles myself, I must tell you that I think the jeans saved me from some heavy bruising when I went down on my old grandma bike on the road the other week. My arm, which was naked, sustained a bruise 5 inches long, half a inch deep and wide, 7 stitches later and a swollen arm, my legs which took most of the hit, only had a few scratches on them and the eat dust pants a minor fade to them! Keep up the good work! Look forward to the next collection!

Blue FF Ride Out

On Saturday 7 of us headed out towards Cuijk where our friend Pascal owns a denim store/restaurant.

We headed out towards the highway where we where greeted by heavy rains which continued until we got to Cuijk, this resulted in a ride which wasn't as smooth as it should have been.

It took us 5,30h to cover a distance of 150Km.

First breakdown happend after a few miles, Angelo's lost his exhaust of his Truimph which was recovered from the highway lanes without to much damage.

A bit of handy work was executed and we where on our merry way.

Then 50Km before Cuijk his engine decided it had to much and stalled.

Took the bike half apart but still no spark at the plugs.

Called Pascal to send someone over with a van and by the time the van got there the bike started again.In the meantime we had lost Rob & Michel.

It was a good thing that van was there to gide us to Cuijk because I didn't know how to get there.

Followed the van and 20km before Cuijk the Truimph was dead again.

We finally got to Cuijk where Rob and Michel had also just arrived .

Pascal did a great job at making us feel welcome and had made a nice Eat Dust display in his shop.

He also treated us to a very fine meal, we can not that thank you enough Pascal for the good care and hospitality you have shown us.

In the meantime Renne and his lovely misses arrived, it was good seeing you guy's.

The way back went a bit smoother but 40Km before Antwerp the Truimph decided to stall again.After the engine cooled down it was ready to take the road.

Although we got drenched , it was a good day on the road with friends.
